SearchTheGayWeb (Originally QueerSeek.com and also BQueer.com) is 100% Gay Owned and operated from beautiful North Vancouver, in British Columbia, Canada. Our servers are located in Downtown Vancouver.

STGW first launched in 2000 under the as QueerSeek.com and featured a small collection of links to gay sites I enjoyed visiting, as well as Social Networking services before they were called that, including Chat and free e-mail. Over the next decade the collection grew to be one of the largest non-porn GLBT directories and portals on the internet and in 2008 QueerSeek rebranded to BQueer, for no other reason than I felt it needed a new shorter name.

The collection continues to grow and evolve and in Sept 2010 the site has once again rebranded SearchTheGayWeb. The main reason for this latest name change was to move away from the word "Queer" which over the years has generated mixed response and reaction from visitors as not everyone identifies in a positive way with that word - myself included.

This site is operated as a free community service of Rainbow Communications, the Online Marketing company I founded in 1995, which specializes in internet marketing and search engine optimization (SEO). SearchTheGayWeb does not operate at a profit and listing fees and advertising revenue go towards off-setting the annual operating costs of this site, which is not cheap!
